Araldica Saroretto Grignolino
The Grignolino grapes are grown in the Monferrato hills of the Asti region. Vines are planted in limestone-clay soil, and trained on Piemonte low Guyot trellis at a density of 4,000 to 4,500 vines per hectare. They are cultivated on south-west facing slopes at 250-400m altitude.
Floral, violet and red berry aromas with a hint of white pepper. The palate has delicate bramble fruit and herbal notes, with cherry acidity balanced by a crisp tannic bite - and a hint of almond on the finish.
Typical Italian food matches include: risotto, ravioli, bean soups and cured meats.
